Creation Through the Christian Year
with Ken Gray
THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED AS A HANDS-ON PRACTICAL WORKSHOP which will provide inspiration and information in incorporating Creation Care and Climate Justice into parish liturgy and programmes.
Through exploration of three key areas – Water, Energy, and Food – participants will discover ways to make creation more central in our worship and study.
Looking progressively through the calendar of the Christian year, we will consider how each season contains and exhibits creation themes. We will together study and experience special initiatives such as “Carbon Fast” and “Season of Creation”.
Using music and other arts we will deepen our own spiritual quest as we care for self and community in equal measure.
KEN GRAY, currently Dean of St. Paul’s Cathedral in Kamloops, has served lay and ordained ministries throughout Western Canada. Trained initially as a classical musician, his interests have broadened to include jazz and photography, and since 2001, ecological justice advocacy.
